Apersys Perfusions System
Machine for Liver Perfusion during Transplants
Field: Medical technology
Task: Development of embedded computer board for inspection drones
Customer: Apersys AG
Apersys has developed a system that is unique worldwide: a medical device that can be used to mechanically perfuse the human liver outside the body for up to 7 days, thereby keeping it alive.
With its comprehensive know-how and experience in medical technology, joylab is supporting the further development of the prototype towards market readiness and medical device approval.
A solid insulation concept and the right selection of electronic components have a major impact on electrical safety. A high level of safety is one of the basic requirements for compliance with the medical device standard (IEC 60601-1) and thus for market access.
In addition to electrical safety, medical devices must also comply with strict EMC guidelines. In this context, joylab implements all necessary hardware measures to improve electromagnetic compatibility and pass EMC tests in the test laboratory.
