SIVA Health has developed a new diagnostic procedure to enable long-term monitoring of patients with chronic cough. This allows the course of the disease to be better understood and positively influenced by using the appropriate therapy.

joylab supported SIVA in the prototype phase with development and consulting services. The first prototype series was used to record audio data for training the machine learning algorithms. A lithium-ion battery has already been implemented here for the longest possible battery operation and wireless charging.

In addition to the electronic aspects, joylab was responsible in particular for checking and implementing the electrical safety requirements in accordance with the IEC/EN 60601-1 medical device standard. This included creating the insulation concept and the insulation diagram as well as identifying applicable standard clauses and implementing them in terms of hardware.
